Whett YO FINGARS!!!

I've been using Finger ease for the past.......
Shit! 22 years. (damm I feel old!!)
I just recently bought Fast Fret, It's ok I guess.
What I was wondering if there is any other fretboard conditioner out there? Maybe even a homemade concoction?

R U kiddin?

Quick and brite is like the ferrari of cleaning products or at least they say it is. And here's the best part; you don't have to go out! it's a TV-shop product !

TRUE!

They say it cleans anything... well ofcourse it doesn't but it takes away alot of the grey shade that builds up ... on the tely it goes like this:

just rub the qnb on the surface; use it ure for extreme filth... now take an ordinary white bathtowel and wipe it off... see no stains anymore....

Well in real life it is a little more labourintensive. But it's safe and works...

I'm not sure what you mean by fretboard conditioner. If you used Finger ease, then you mean something that makes the whole thing slippery. If you mean something to clean the wood and keep it from drying out, just get some lemon oil and some 0000 steel wool. I've cleaned hundreds of guitar necks with that combo. First, remove the strings. You just put a bead of the oil down the fingerboard and work it in with the wool until all the gunk is gone. Wipe off the excess with a clean cloth, wait ten minues and wipe again. By the way--this works for rosewood and ebony boards--not lacquered maple necks. Don't know if I have answered your question, but this is good stuff to know for any guitarist.

Here's a thought

I picked this link up off another thread and thought it may apply. If it's a guitar you intend on keeping for awhile, this site has some pretty good information.

You can scroll down to the cleaning the guitar part.

Gru, these products aren't really greasy, It's a very light solution that helps fretscrap and just makes the srings feel a whole lot better. (especially when their a couple of weeks old)

finger ease has been around as long as I can remember. its a spray that makes things slippery--can't for the life of me remember the common compound thats in it--oh yeah--silicone. it makes my fingertips feel weird, so i don't use it...

I wipe my fingers on each side of my nose and pick up oils there between songs to lube my fingertip's.

I just spray old english onto a spiffit (old dried up ones) and wipe the strings, and if I'm in the mood, the fingerboard. That cleans the crustiest strings to almost new condition, but once the chrome is gone you have to wipe them every half hour or so.

a little tip, use 000 grade steel wool to clean the fingerboard and frets when changing strings, but cover the pickups with a piece of paper or the steel wool fibers will get stuck to the magnets.
