still a little lost
i don't even know what I want to do... I just want to know what chaining cabs was and how i do it... only thing that i DO know is that chaining cabs lowers resistance... like 2 8 ohm cabs is a 4 ohm load...

Well, if this is "i always wanted to know" i won't bother...
you can't chain cabinets unless you have them customized... guhlenn

Chaining cabinets refers to wiring the speaker arrays in each cabinet in a way as to match their combinned impedence to match the load that the amp wants to see.

no it wasn't at all. However if you fully understand what to do now you knew about it already... in other words; do you know how to chain cabinets now?
If ya do; good for you, if you don't that's why i didn't bother... there's a lot more to think of ... but it doesn't matter as you aren't gonna do it anyway... guhlenn
