Big Midi Problems

Hi

I am trying To set my Midi interface in Cubase.
My gear lists like this:
P.c running Cubase Vst 32
Maxi studio Isis sound card
Midiman 2x2 interface
Yamaha Dx21 keyboard
Alesis Sr16 Drum machine
Now i can get Cubase to recognise The interface, and the sound card.
But my problem is how do I get the sounds from the drum machine to sound in Cubase.
Right now all I get is the Gm sounds from the soundcard.
I have tried every combo but no sounds from the drum machine.
I can use the drum machine as trigger, but nothing else.
