Talking good mics

akg d112($200) or a shure beta 52($180) for kick/bass drum
shure sm57($70) or a sennhiser e604($140) for snare
shure sm58($100) or audio technica pro25($100) for all toms
akg c3000($300) or studio projects c-1(??????) for overheads

that would cover it. (but some people just use 3-4 mics.1 on bass drum and 2 overheads or 1 on bass drum 2 overheads and one on snare)
