Question burning

i got a pack of these cd-r's, verbatim 32x, for some reason i cannot burn them using my program adaptec creator 4.... i used to use verbatim 16x all the time and they worked fine.... i also recently downloaded nero so i could edit some mp3, maybe this is interfering somehow or someway..... anybody?????????

You need at least a PlexWriter 12/10/32 to use the 32x cd-r's. Check to see what model you have. It shows on the front of the cd door. Mine shows 16/10/40a. This means it writes up to 16 speed, rewrites up to 10 speeds and reads up to 40 speeds. I'm not sure of it's your problem but it worth taking a look at.

i'm not sure where to find this out... it doesnt say on the cd door..... i have a hp pavillion with an internal cd writer(re) and i use adaptec creator 4........... i have a write speed of 2,4, 0r 8x on adaptec 4 and i use to burn 16 x on it always but these 32x won't work..........the rw drive is a samsung r/rw but i cant find the x/x/x................

well i dont think its the cds that are not working..... i think somewhere along the lines of downloading editing programs something went wrong with my cd creator 4 program and now its having trouble reading blank cd's............ any suggestions????

First thing I'd do is to try a 16 speed cd that you used before. If one of those don't work then I might consider the possibility that you corrupted your cd creator 4 program installing other software but I think that's highly unlikely unless you deleted shared files at some point. If the 16 speed cd's don't work then I'd probably re-install the creator 4 software. Also, if you right click on your desktop, choose properties, device manager then click the + to the left of where it says CDROM, it should tell you the model of your samsung. Then go to google.com and search for your model. That should get you to where the x/x/x info for your drive is. Happy hunting
