Mic's for Tascam 424

[Rockfish]

I just bought a new Tascam 424 today. I don't have tons of money. I'll mostly be recording vocals and accoustic guitars. Can anybody recommend a good mic for less than $100 for this application, possibly a Shure 58 or 57. Thanks in advance.

Welcome, I use a 424mkIII. I have 57s and a58. I also have a Marshall603s condenser, But use the 57s most for acoustic guitar.
You might want a mic pre. Could pick one up for 100.00 if you look around. Do some searches around here. You'll get a lot of imfo.
