I want the Kick Drum Sound on Ozzy's Perry Mason.

Anybody know the formula for this or know any links where there might be an article on how they got that sound?

I second that. One of the most cutting kick drum sounds I've heard. Anybody wanna take a shot at this one?

Find the drummer's home page on the album credits, see what kit he was using... then see if the studio that recorded has some info on the mic collection..I also try to track down to see if the producer has a page

My ears say its a 24 inch dia kick, longer shell than normally used, the head sounds a little loose, Im not if its double lugged, but you can mix a tight batter head and a loose outerhead until you get the flabbyness I hear. Great album...good guitar tones too :0)

Peace,
Dennis
