M312B Mixer
I've recently bought an old Tascam M312B Mixing console, and I was just wondering what other people thought about it?
has anyone used one, and if so, what did you think? |

so I don't have any specific comments about use. The B model has a few extra features over the std model, but I don't have a spec sheet on what those features may be.
The M312 is a solid, complex board, with good sound quality & good features. It's a bit more complex than the M30, so it may take a little longer to grasp all the signal flow & routing options. Things like having to route TAPE RTN through the LINE IN on each MAIN channel strip [for mixdown] may seem a little tricky at first, and having the manual helps a lot. Refer to the manual when necessary. |

thanks for the reply.
Im using it at the moment just to mix the levels before the mix hits my soundcard. theres a lot of routing options, but I mainly either mix to the two channel, or use the direct outs. I,'ve been very impressed by the sound quality over my old mixer, but being a relative newbie, Im not sure how much better a better mixer would be... |

It's a nice mixer, the likes of which are not built anymore. It's an awesome front end to a soundcard! It gives you lots of routing capacity, limited only by your imagination.
