I have a Peavey Unity Series 500 mixer. It has 1/4 headphone out. Rather than getting a splitter, what are other solutions for running 2 or 3 headphone sets? I guess I am looking for a self contained package that also has a heaphone amp and mix control.

I guess really all you could if you need a separate mix level on a few sets of headphones is to get a headphone out. If you amp has a line out just plug a TRS cable into your amp and then into the headphone amp. Only drawback to this is that a heaphone amp will put you down probably 100 bucks. I think this will probably work for you though.

Thanks for the replys. I was looking through Musicians Friend today and saw a Rolls HA43 Headphone amp. Powers up to 4 stereo headphones, features 1/4" jacks in and out; volume controls on all 4 channels; 10 to 30 khz/ $79.00. Anyone ever used ROLLS gear?

Yo Cow of Madness:
Peavey also makes a small headset amp. I have one and have had it for about 4 years. It can run 4 sets of phones and does a neat job. All of this technology costs is about 66 dollars. But, as mentioned in the other posts, there are newer units out there to listen to. Stay connected, Green Hornet |
