I've just finished all the midi and audio tracks on my first song using PowerTracks pro. I am amazed at how good it sounds and how easy it was to record. I have a decent mix but I don't know where to go from here.
Here are my questions: 1. How do I get all the tracks into one stereo file to EQ it? 2. What format should it be in to do this? 3. Once that's done, how do I get the song burned onto CD - and what format must it be to be played on a cd player? Note: I will be receiving my CD Burner in two days but I want to be ready for it now. |

Hey, what version of Power Tracks are you using? I just ordered 6.0a Power Tracks Pro Audio. It should be here in 2 weeks. Will power tracks save as .wav file? Are you getting Adaptec's Easy CD Creator with your CD-R? I use Easy Cd Creator. It saves as a .cda which is CD Audio, ready to play in standard CD players. With regards to stereo file, I have been mixing then saving as .wav. I then take that to Sound Forge and edit, effect it and resave it, then save it to cdr with easy cd creator. I am kinda a newbie, so I will be watching your post for some of the older heads advice. Good Luck.

Thanks for the quick reply Madcow!
I have version 6.0. I ordered it by mail but I was too impatient and I called them and talked them into allowing me to download it through the net while my package came two weeks later - try it if you can't wait! Yes it does save as .wav format. What is Easy CD Creator? What is Sound Forge? I am waiting to see the cd-w's that are available at my companies supplier- I just know it is one of the newest and that it also burns DVDs. |
