Hi. I'm trying to decide which soundcard to buy- the AArdvark Direct Pro 24/96 or the Lexicon Core 2. The big advantage of the 24/96 is that it has built-in mic pre-amps, where the Lexicon does not. I own a Tascam M-208 mixing board with 4 PGM outs, and I'm wondering if the mic pre-amps in it will suffice (the 24/96 costs almost $200 more than the Core2). I understand that using the mixing board will introduce some noise, but how much noise? Is it descernable? Is it $200 worth? Any replies would be greatly appreciated!
