novice demo producer needs advice

hi!
We are currently starting to use PC technology to produce some demo's of some bands. (alternative and electronic)
But early indications of our output have left us a little deflated (after hearing others music)
If anyone has got the time to maybe give us a listen.

I checked out the Danulo and it had a cool feel to it. Add a sexy female, ala Portishead/Tricky, and some drums and you've got a good sound.
How did you get the "Ronni Size" bass sound on the le cercle gris?
