alesis serial driver for Windows XP

Does anybody know what is the best course of action?

I've heard that you can use Roland serial drivers and that you can use Yamaha serial drivers for QS synths if you're on Windows XP. I'm currently using the Yamaha serial driver, and it seems to be working, except my QSR won't recieve bank changes!

I realize that Alesis has had its problems lately, but Windows 2000 and XP have been out for awhile now. You'd think they could get their act together and at least update drivers for that sort of thing.

Anybody with good ideas, let me know. thanks.
