Make me buy an hd24!!!

Hi all.
I'm using a digi001 and i have a 16channel 8 bus board and know i need to buy more
for more I/O.......
Is this hd24 all that its cracked up to be?
can it be compare to the ok audio quality of the digi001?
if it breaks will alesis fix it?
Any other info will be payed for im good vibes..

Depends what "cracked up to be" means ...
I think that it is a very nice machine for the money. There's some nice features, for sure ... but other machines out there have comparable features too. I'd check them out too before you put down any cash.

I have only heard it in a in-store demo but I thought the sound quality was exceptional, imho.

eventually, it will get fixed ... I personally think you'll have a difficult time getting timely answers from Alesis tech-support but a local repair shop may be able to turn it around pretty fast if they have the needed parts available. I'd call around to some local shops and see how they're coping with any service requests they've received so far. If you get any info from them on common problems people may be having, please post them here.
