want to buy tascam 788

I am brand new at this and want to make some beats as a hobbie , i have look at a few multitrack recorders and like the tascam a few questions though , how much memory does it have meaning am i going to expand it in a month and do i need a computer ? I would buy the burner even though it is expensive
any feedback would be appreciated
