Hi.. I got a piece of a file from ametth (which I guess is STRAIGHT from his Tascam, without any alteration)..
1. I tried to upload to the HD24. No can do. 2. Tried to open it in Sound Forge and CEP. Failed (error)!! 3. Opened it in Wavelab without a problem. Made sure that 'header-thing' was unchecked. Saved it.. Still not possible to upload.. 4. NOW it was possible to open it in Sound Forge. This time, I choose 'save as', selected 'do not save regions/playlists), clicked save (overwriting the original). This time it asked me: "This file contains extra non-audio information. Do you want to include this in the file.. yada yada..." I clicked 'no'. Now the file was some kilobytes smaller, and possible to upload. Stupid as I am, I didn't save the original file, so I can't experiment any more with it. But this was also a case of extra non-audio information in the file. IMO, this does certainly not mean the HD24 is a POS hardware.. It might even be possible to change this 'problem' with a software update.
