crashes using TC and waves happen to me too...i can't figure out y sometime they occur and they don't....i use XP pro wit 900 mhz athlon....might be cuz of apps running in the background taking away CPU resources at a critical time which causes it to crash

I use to have the problem of errors occuring and spontaneous reboots while making certain changes, using Waves or just by pressing the "stop" command. It turns out that for me it was a soundcard driver problem. Here's what you should try:

Download the latest driver for your soundcard from the manufacturer's website--try to get a WDM driver if it is available. Remove the old driver and install the new driver. Delete the "aud.ini" and "ttsseq.ini" files from Sonar's folder. This won't screw anything up--they come right back when you run Sonar. When you run Sonar it should look for you hardware again.

If this doesn't fix the problem, you might have an IRQ conflict. Go to Start/Settings/Control Panel/System/Device Manager and double click on Computer. Make sure that your video driver, audio driver, and USB ports do not share the same IRQ address (a one or two-digit number). It is okay if "PCI Steering" is sharing the same number, though. If they are sharing the same number, then you need to get that fixed.
