Problems mixing down to MP3 in PA 9

I'm wondering if anyone can dolve this issue. I can't seem to be able to mix my tracks down to MP3. An error message comes up whenever I try. What am I doing wrong?

I'm using PA 9 on a PC with Windows ME, if this helps.

What does the message say? Should be simple. Do you have midi tracks? Have you converted them to audio?

I'm not using any midi tracks. The message says something about not being able to perform the operation (or something - I'll check it out and tell you exactly what it is saying). It will, however, allow me to mix down to WAV. Go figure!!!) Any ideas?
