Balancing Bounce

This may be a dumb question, but I'd appreciate an answer, if possible. I'm thinking about getting a 424. Say I record three tracks at optimum level. How do I control the volume/output on these tracks when I mix them down to the fourth track (in order to free up the other tracks)? I know this is a common operation for home recorders and I was just wondering how it's done with a 424. Thanks in advance.

I can't remember if you use the faders or the Cue knobs, but it's all covered in the manual and is fairly straightforward.

YO Rockfisherman:

There is a problem when you bounce 3 tracks to one track. While you have the three tracks as single tracks, you can manage the eq, reverb, and individual faders; HOWEVER, when you bounce these three tracks to ONE track, you will not be able to tweak each track. You will be able to tweak the track with the three bounced to it but this doesn't always work. If you bounce keys, bass, and drums they usually tweak at different levels.

I started out with a 4 tracker but quickly moved to 8 tracks which eliminated the need for bouncing and losing control over individual tracks.
