Need Mixer advice (Digital vs. Analog)
I have Pro Tools but want the control of a mixer.
I currently have that Fostex VM200 digital mixer but it is awkward in shape and takes up space in depth as opposed to width like a typical mixers. Which my console can work with. So I'm selling it with the HD recorder companion VR800! Should I stick to a digital mixer? or go Analog? looking to spend between $200. - $400. on either.... Need advice really bad and soon got a buyer already! Please somebody out there HELP ME!!!!! |

How many channels do you need? For $400 your choices will be pretty limited. Can you even get a digital mixer that cheap?
I have a Roland VM3100Pro and so far I like it. I'm not a big fan of sharing faders on different channels but that is the price you pay for the small footprint of the digital mixers. |

hmmmm?
Well I really have been more interested in an analog mixer for the purpose of instruments, mics and other 1/4" equipment. But thought I might have to go digital cause i'm running ProTools.
Is this true? Hope not I much rather use an analog mixer. |
