I have a eurorack mx602a mixer, a couple microphones a portastudio02 mkll a kenwood cassette dual cassette deck (for mixdown) and a few other things (no compression, preamps, or effects). Does anyone know if you can bounce tracks on the PortaStudio and if so can you give me some tips or tell me how? It has 4 tracks no eq on it 2 track simultanious recording and thats about it.
I've been recording track 1 Guitar track 2 All the vocals track 3 bass track 4 drums. CAN ANYONE HELP ME? |

Yeah, I have a Tascam 414 but I'll just suppose you do the same thing. You turn all three channels to L or R, (whichever channel 4 is) and then turn channel 4 that way. Then, record on channel 4 and all the channels should be routed to that channel.

Axis,
Try this sometime. Mix down your 4 tracks to the stereo cassette deck. Take that tape and put it back in the 02 and play 2 more tracks with it. Signal loss is there, but can be real fun. dtb |

The Porta02 has a low output level, so in order to get decent fidelity you will need to plug the outs into a stereo receiver before it gets to the tape deck. Otherwise, you may be stuck with a thick layer of hiss on top of the recording.
