Question I need a snake!!

I need a 100' 12x4 XLR snake. What's good. I've see Conquest and ProCo, about $250-$300, is this good. Is there anything cheaper (in price not quality) that I can get? Thanks........Josh

Fangar will become famous soon enough
Horizon makes a good one in that range too. Lifetime warranty too.

Excuse the interruption, but what does the "12x4" designate?

Scratchin' my head, tryin' to figure it...

12 mic lines, 4 returns. The returns are usually on 1/4" TRS plugs and jacks instead of XLRs. If you get a snake with XLR returns, the sex will be reversed- the stage box will have females for the mic lines and males for the returns. It's just a way of making wiring more "convenient" for the average rock show user, but there's nothing to keep you from using gender changers and having 16 mic lines and no returns at all...

Horizon makes several models with XLR returns or 1/4" some with both. They are pretty nice for the money.
