Shure KSM27

Recently purchased this studio mic primarily for vocals.
Mics are not my specialty and I choose it based on a voice test in the Mars store and was wondering what the pro's and con's were.
Any users idea's for placement and distance, pop screens,etc...
And how it might perform with live instruments.

Thanks, Stealth
