Spirit Folio SX. Any good?

Hi (-yes I did a search ), I was wandering whether you guys liked this nice little cheap mixer.
Feat.:
-12 mic inputs
-8 direct outs
-1 subgroup
-3 aux (pre; pre/post; post)
-100mm faders

It's around $450-500 here in Holland, and I know most people are raving about the Mackie 1604 VLZ Pro mixer, but that thing is way too expensive in my eyes.

Whadda ya think, folks? Are the mic pre's on the Folio SX a step up from my Korg D16?

cheerz
Speedy

Atwork is on a distinguished road
There's a review on the Sound on Sound site.

http://www.sospubs.co.uk

Use the Search facility searching on Spirit Folio SX.

I'd post the specific link but I can never get them to work

sos review?

yeah but, didn't mommy tell you never to buy the sh*t reviewers say completely?
I already had that review printed, but there are very little useful threads here on homerecording.com

Anyway, more people who have experience with this mixer?

cheerz,
Speedy

Thumbs down

I have recently sold one S/H in the UK. While it worked fine I did not get any satisfaction from using it and always found its lightweight construction a distraction.
The sound quality was no better than my cheaper Behringer mixers which are better built ( gets ready to run from the flame throwers). The power lead plug and socket is a joke.

I would not buy another one.

Tony Wilkes

P.S. it is made in China the same as a lot of current Gear ( even my Alesis HD24 is made there)
