Strange things happen when you ask,,,

I went to the post office a while ago.
I live in a small logging town. I pulled into the parking lot and parked next to a small Honda.

I could hear the beat of Rap or Hip-Hop in my truck. One guy about 16 to 20 years old was in the passenger seat singing and tapping following the beat on the dash with his fingers.

I sat there and listened to the song for a bit, then slide outta my truck. The song had just ended, and the driver was getting into the car, so I asked him, he was about the same age as the other guy in the car, who recorded that song. I kinda liked it.

He shrugged and asked the guy in the car as he got in. The passenger rolled down the window and looked me over. I'm 53 and not real pretty looking. As the car pulled back from the parking lot, he said, "Shouldn't you be listening to ZZTop or something?"

Now I'll never know what that song was I heard.

No, I don't remember that sound in it, Chriss.

What struck my fancy was it sounded like a 'regular' pop song, but the vocals alternated between pop and rap/hip-hop.

Two different people singing, sometimes over lapping a bit. I didn't hear a lot of sound effects.
