Angry MIDIMAN USB interface

Hello everyone,
I need to connect my ROLAND JV1010 sound module to my PC. The MIDI interface I got today is a MIDIMAN2x2. I did install the driver. How do I get SONAR to use this such that I can use the synth module? On SONAR, when I go to the "devices" tab and select 'MIDI" all I see is the "SBLIVE" sound option. I use SBLive as my sound card.

I have never used an external synth before. I got this synth module today and can't wait to use it.
Thanks!
Peace fellow Rockers!

Check your multimedia options on your PC (Start - Settings - Control Panel - Multimedia). In the multimedia settings you should have a choice as to what MIDI device you want to be using. I know with my recording software, it querys the multimedia options before it opens and then uses those as the default.
You might also want to check to see if the device installed properly. Go to the device manager (right click My Computer icon - properties) and check the sound and video game controllers otpion to see if the Midiman is listed.

Hope this helps

Do what gbondo suggests to make sure the midi drivers are installed properly. If it shows up there but you still cant choose it in Sonar you may want to reinstall sonar and hope it picks up the Midiman.

You can also remove the SB until you get the midiman working. Its hard to troubleshoot when you have 2 sound/midi cards. I couldnt get a new card to work until I removed my SB.

Thanks Guys!
I re-installed the MIDIMAN drivers and now I see it in SONAR.
Thanks for the support.
