I've been using the MRS-1044 for about a month. What a friggin' box! I do acoustic rock, and I love the "funk1" drum kit. Man, it sounds good.
Ok. On to my question. I'm using Windows ME with the appropriate driver for the USB card. I know it also comes with a 2000 driver. What about XP? Has anyone tried the 2000 driver with XP? |

That's a really good - and important - question. Unfortunately, I don't know the answer.
I agree with you that the MRS is a lot of fun, and is a bargain at the price! |

I went ahead and upgraded to Windows XP. Apparently the 2000 driver works fine! It asked me for the CD when I plugged in the USB cable with the MRS in USB mode. It warned me that the driver was not verified. I said "yeah, yeah, go ahead", and it works like a charm.

Joetunon,
You are a real pioneer! Since we will ALL eventually be forced to go the XP route, it is great to know the MRS will accomodate it! |
