Question can someone reccomend

new tuners for my Gibson ES335, preferably lockdowns.

I know Spertzel (I think that is how its spelled) makes the locking type. Most Carvins used to come with them as OEM tuners.

They bass I returned (because I did not like the pickups also had them and they seemed pretty nice.

I am not sure where to order them from though. Carvin might even have them as they sell guitar kits.

if it were me id have the guitar set up right then fit the vintage reissue model for that guitar or even buy the genuine reissues from gibson failing that maybe an early grover rotomatic in nickle the ones with usa pat faintly stamped on the back 3 on a side i got two sets of these both well over 30 years old now and both set work beautifully if you do fit a modern machine head try and get something which you can fit without having to drill into the guitar to fit them :-)

Of course I will not alter the guitar in any way by drilling holes etc. I dont trust gibson tuners, I havent found a set on any one of their guitars that was worth a nickle, I dont know about the new ones.
