GT5, POD, or GP100???

I am looking for an effects processor for my guitar. I wanna be able to have flexibility in making sounds. Mainly, I would need good reverb, decent distortion (not heavy metal type), and good tremolo.

Any thought/experience on Roland GP100, Boss GT5, POD line 6 or even the POD Pro???

thanks

I have a GP100.. I doubt I will ever sell it.. If it breaks (I doubt it) I'll buy a new one..

(now I have to look at ebay to see what the price for a used on is..)

GOD DAMN!!! 375$ !!!!!!!!!!

Not only will you get a very versatile guitar-preamp, but you'll also get a KILLER multi-FX. The reverb is excellent and comes with 5 rooms, HPF, LPF and Predelay. Man.. for 375$....
And if you use it as multi-fx, you can divide the unit in 2 parts (using the send/return on the GP100) to divide it into TWO multi-fx..

I've used a POD.. sure it's a cool unit.. but If you can buy a GP100 at this price...

MenT-aL is on a distinguished road
Why Is the Johson J-Station in there? trust me Try it out, If you are gonna buy a POD, then try out the J-Station with it. For almost half the price, and the fact that its as good as the POD, give it a try, go on, for me

ap will become famous soon enough
The newest Digitech GNtX(3?, or whatever it's called) got pretty good praise from Guitar Player on it's modeling of popular distortion stomp boxes. I don't think anything else attempts to do that.

My only experience is with pod. Very happy, but not 100% satisfied with amp modeling. Effects are ok at best.

I will pretty much be using this effects unit for home recording, but, I would hope GP100 will last outside of home (with a good care).

The 2 units that I am really focusing on right now are GT5 and GP100. GT5 is good to carry around, but I don't know how it would sound in d/i recorxding...??
I have had my eyes on GP100 for awhile by now, and the only drawback is that it's a rack unit, but, with the option of hooking it up with a footboard, I should be ok with doing live, right?....Meshuggah?

It's as good as any amp for live-use.
