I am looking to expand a little and get and get an rack reverb unit. I have no clue what is good. Do they usually come with things like chorus delay and flanger, or are they seperate, or is it all a money issue. I just need some suggestions to get me started where to look. Money is an issue but I would like to hear as wide a variety as well. Thanks a lot.........Josh

Yo Drummer of Insanity:
Lexicon makes the 100, which I have. The next model up is better. The 100 has dials and dials for "variations" of a given patch. It is a rich warm sound though. I also have the Alesis Midiverb3....this unit is also good and it is programmable. The Alesis has fixed delay patches. The Lexicon 100 has some ding-donged push the button on the blinking light for delay and I don't quite dig it. Best bet is to visit a vendor or a friend and take a look and give a listen. For the bucks, the Lexicon 500 would probably be a good piece of gear to get, or the 100 for fewer bucks. Or, you could buy the Yam 2816 and get the FX included and it is pretty good FX.
