know anything about building a bass trap

I want to build a bass trap. Any idea what materials to use and what size it should be? Im building it on a 10'8" wall. The room is 10'8" X 9'.

Will a single trap in a room this size be enough to rid the room of standing waves?

Out of curiousity, have you determined the frequencies that are being a problem?

As a suggestion, I would be considering corner bass traps and some absorption/diffusion on at least two adjoining walls.
