Vocal booth

I've been thinking about adding a vocal booth to my studio. I've been looking at the Whisperroom, the Vocalbooth (Calvin Mann), and the Soundsuckers booth. I am looking to get a 4x4 booth, and it seems they range in price from about $1500 - $2500. Does anyone here have any experience with any of these booth's, or any comments or suggestions? I don't want to build my own. Thanks.

I thought about that, but I prefer to have it done by a "pro" if you know what I mean. I don't want some guy guessing at what it should be like, and getting something that's only half as good (even if it is at half the price). Thanks for the advice though.

Like I said before, I will be buying, not building a vocal booth. Any opinions on those that are out there on the market? Thanks.

Since you are set on buying, not building, www.vocalbooth.com makes nice units, and they can be ordered in a modular fashion, so you can make it somewhat custom.

if you buy a booth i'd go with www.vocalbooth.com they have the best prices with booths starting at $1500 for a 4' x4' booth.
i had a partner of mine that built his booth for $350-400 give or take. he got all the specs from http://www.whisperroom.com/ and got home depot to do all the cuts. then bought some acoustic material from markertek.com(54"x54" 3inch thick $29each and a few bass traps) and a simple closet door that he put a Plexiglas window in. after putting everything together we made sure it was sealed with some silicone...his booth was done in 1 day. he added little things like a light that says recordings and a 19inch light in the booth, for the longest he had a lamp in it

we plan on building my booth the same way this spring.

i'm not 100% but i'm sure he got his plexiglas from http://www.selectproducts.com/frameindex.htm

if you have time to build it with a friend of yours or something i would. his booth looks 100% professional. you would have never known we built it. and $320 is better than $1500+. o size, its about 4' x 6'

D.I.Y. Vocal Booth

The best set of plans for building a low cost professional booth. Built mine for $650.00
