John, sliding doors, and why are they connected?

I was looking at your plans for studios, and i noticed that you have walls touching between the sliding doors. I thought the whole idea of a "room within a room" was so the walls don't touch. Or do you use some sort of different material that transfers sounds differently etc.

they are just fillers so you don't see the gap - like between glass in a window, It's just fibreboard wrapped in cloth and fibreglass - no connection really
