problem with D1624 and midi clock

Hello,
I've got the D1624 setup to spit out midi clock. I've set the tempo and signature. Midi out into a roland TD8 midi in. I've got a drum song in the module. I hit play, and the song starts fine. However, when I fast forward the D1624 and play from another point in the song, the TD8 doesn't follow. It just starts where it left off....

Do I need to set the signature and tempo for every bar in the fostex? any ideas?
