Pez62 is on a distinguished road
MP3 Mixing

I would like to mix music and very green at it. I have several MP3's that i have gotten of the net and mostly interested in turning them into a good mix. Trance and Progressive House is what i'm most interested in. I have been playing around with PCDJ and N-Track but don't seem to be getting anywhere. I mostly want to match up BPM and get in a good crossfade and then hopefull play around with some effects. But as for laying down samples that will be in the far future.

I am really interested in this and believe it will turn into a new hobbie. If someone could give me some programs that are more user friendly for the novice i would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,
Pez

Most dj's that I have seen use PCDJ. Since you already own this program, you should practice using it.

pcdj and 2 soundcards is what you need yea.. progressive trance and house.. 'dats my ballpark! i also blend a little techno in.. mostly from tresor..
if you want to really spin this kind of music though, you'll be needing turntables quite soon, cause the selection of progressive electronic on cd is really weak..
