HI everyone I bought a Tascam 44 with no manual (well i was dirt cheap see). I haven't had too much trouble figuring the basics but now I am a bit stumped as I can't figuer out how the effects sends work. I tried connecting my friends compressor to it voa the effects send then looping back into the 1/4 inch jack of the track I wanted to efect as it were but this didn't work (and was stupid in retrospect as I might have wanted the effect on more than one chacnnel at once) Someone told me they had to back in via the stereo inputs inwhich case do I need to buy a new set of leads and which send goes to which input ( I know I should just get the manual but they cost a bomb and take ages to arrive by all accounts too ) cheers

Hi,

Effects send 1 will go back to the little hole with the label "5-6" on it while effects 2 goest back to "7-8". Then for an track to add that effect you just turn the knob labelled Effects 1 and Effects 2 in each track. Hopefully this make sense to you ?
