software problems

ok gang, any of you cakewalk users have an idea as to why when i arm traks for recording, I see the levels responding, but when i actually play the song to set, or record, the levels go dead, and nothing is recording. in other words, i can tell the track is picking up the signal when armed, but if i press play to set levels, or record, they do not respond as in no signal is registering. I'm hoping that in my fumbling with tech support, i simply have flipped some switch. any help? thx

ok, figured half of it, somehow tripped my simult. play record button. still not playing but i have another trick to try..............still interested in any thoughts

ok, ok i finally got her to bend over and cooperate.
