Gooseneck / Mic Cable In One

I have this Shure Gooseneck stand which has mic connections. I have never seen one of these before, are they rare at all?

The one I have is a bit noisy so I don't plan to use it on recordings.

They are used for podium mics. Not very rare unless you have the '42 bendolux model. j/k
