Scour the web for tons of free loops. they are out there. Also, use Acid to create new loops by merging different loops together. High shelf one loop to bring out the kick and filter another to get the snare and then chop up/shift around a third. In reading articles in mags like Remix, really good producers rarely run a stock loop as is. They f*ck with it and give it their own sound. The Drum Sugar CD is pretty good from what I hear of it. Haven't had a chance to play with that collection yet. Also, alot of the loop collections have one shots. Use these along with Acid as a drum machine. Set the snap to grid to 16th notes or what ever and take a loop lay it down in Acid and then add more one shots to get fills.

There are different kind of loops out there. 1) Loops made of loops. 2) loops made from sequencers or drum machines, 3) loops made from live preformance on drum kit or analog snyth or orchestra or guitar, 4) loops made by you or your friend playing whatever instrument. You name it. The possibilities are endless. Just when you think Acid is a one trick pony you discover there is soo much under the hood (speaking of Ver 3 Pro). Get "Learning Acid in 24 hours" (I have and it's good) or the new "Acid Power" to learn about how deep this program is.

Good luck

Best one that I have for that sort of thing is Drum Tools. Some nice sounds. Still not all inclusive, but one that you should definately keep an eye out for.
