controller with great feel/dynamics/features

I want a controller with good dynamics and feel (as i'm a pianist), yet the main features I need for recording and whatever (layering, assigning parts to different sections of the keyboard?) Pitch shift too.

I am on a budget of probably up to 1000 can probably make an exception.

Please give me your thoughts oh keyboard geniuses.
