Hello there...
I've got a little question regarding sequencing a drum track with Acid. You see, I have this little drum machine track that I made with an old Casio keyboard and I would like to add to it using Acid. Anyway, I don't know what BPM the original drum track is at (not sure if that matters or not) but I'm looking for any suggestions on how to go about doing this? Where should I start? I'm thinking that I need to take the original drum machine track, chop it at the beginning and end to get rid of any filler and import that into Acid. I know that in Acid you can set the BPM to whatever the imported track is and I'm thinking that doing this will get me going? Am I right? Will Acid know what BPM a foreign drum track is at automatically? |

Sicily,
So you are planning on transferring and saving the Casio Made drum beat as a .Wav File? If so, when you import it into ACID, it should ask if you would like to use the beatmapper utility which will assign a tempo value and ACIDIZED time code to it. You might want to play around with recreating it from scratch in ACID using some higher tech samples, but hope that helps. Fangar |
