vegas audio needs an update

are they phasing it out? It seems vegas video does everything and way more as of now. I propose Sonic Foundry take the Vegas Audio engine and Combine it with the acid engine...this would be the greatest app ever. Could you imagine Acid pro 3 with the audio tracks and features of vegas...that would be one killer app.

I believe I just read recently that there will be no more Vegas Audio and Vegas Video, just one package called Vegas Video. But I have not corroborated that.

Lightbulb

Appreciate that piece of input Al. I am a huge Acid Pro fan and would love sf to extend that program to include better tracking facilities or to upgrade Vegas with things like audio quantising. I even emailed sf with my "feedback" ideas and asked if they could say whether there was a planned Vegas audio upgrade on it's way soon. I guess they either didn't have time to reply or didn't want to break silence or whatever... I love the ease of use and smoothness of their programs so you can enjoy the music making process more. Vegas video got upgraded only a couple of months or so ago I believe but maybe your lead has some substance and they will upgrade again by a doing a combo thing?

If you hear any more news that would be great if you could post it .

Cheers

Nige

It seems SF has given up on vegas audio (It is now just vegas video 3). I wrote to Sonic Foundry and got this reply
