Is ADAT considered analog by virtue of being a tape medium?

kinda like a floppy disk....the part that is recorded on seems like a round piece of analog tape....but it is digital.....what a wonderful invention - digital audio tape.....

Digital all the way.........

When someone describes whether a recording is analog or digital, they usually refer to the recording format, not the actual media used.
