I liked it. Finally some well used canned drums. They actually sound pretty good and work with the song well. I like the guitar layering, but you could have gone for a littel more aggressive sound for some parts. Or maybe just a little more variation from that smooth clean sound. Just a thought.

a highly enjoyable tune.
Very relaxed mix. Nothing stands out on my headphones and this is a good thing. Nice clean recording.

Kickass instrumental man, definately going into my 'favorites' playlist for the mellower times.
I chose your song to test the new lo-fi conversion system I'm developing (because it was right there, and at 192kbps) and wound up listening about 30 times already... At first I thought I was hearing a little clipping/distortion in the meatier parts, but then I realized that it sounds more like an effect or an intentional background noise. What exactly is that back there, the canned drums? W. |

Thanks guys.
Damn Waldo...30 times? I don't think I listened to it 30 times... I think your referring to the backgound "buzz" during the verse. It's actually just the buzz/hum of my guitar with distortion on when I'm not playing anything. I originally had a distorted tone for the rythm, but then changed it to a mellower clean tone. The buzz from the distorted guitar was left in the verse somwhere and it happed to be in tune and added a droning type of vibe..so I left it. I am listening to the mix again and it sounds like there's a slight shrilly buildup during certain parts. I think it the guitars clashing in a certain frequency range just a bit. Does anybody else hear this? Lemme know... Thanks again for the comments.. |

I really can't add anything here except that I enjoyed it. Good work.
