Need critique for latest recording.

My band's been recording two new albums over this break. Here's the first
song I mixed down completely. I'm using this one as a test. I want to get
it critiqued so I know that I'm going down the right path for the other
tracks. Here's the link:

Below is how I went about recording it:


My gear consists of a Delta 66 card with the Omni I/O front end. 2 SM58's,
1 Audix OM3xb, and a Marshall MXL603. For drums I used the 603 on
overheads, the OM3 underneath the snare, and the SM58's in the front of the
kicks (pointing at the beaters). I added a little high eq for the overheads
and added some bass and compression to the kicks as the sm58's are the
bassiest mics out there and some compression and a touch of reverb to the
snare. For clean guitar I recorded in stereo, line in source on one side
and the 603 on the other. I have a Marshall Valvestate amp and we used a
DOD Ice Box chorus and some amp reverb. For distorted guitar I used a SM58
pointed 3/4 of the way towards the edge of the speaker, about 3 inches back.
I turned the bass all the way down. I double tracked them and panned them
hard left and right. For lead guitar I recorded it with the 603 with the bass put back in, but then I found a notch in the rhythm guitars where there's a dip and I boosted that area for the lead to make it stick out more. Bass was recorded with a Cruise bass that I got for
$50 and I went direct for that and put on some compression and low eq. For
vocals, I used the 603 and applied some compression, added a little delay in
time with the tempo of the song, and a little reverb. Everything was done
in N-track. Afterwards I used the Waves Ultramaximizer to bring up the
levels. I also put on Waves Max Bass to fatten up the bottom and a touch of Sonic Foundry's Enhance for the high end.
Some areas that I need you guys to focus in is the harshness of the cymbals and whether there's enough or too much reverb in the mix.

First off, cool song, I really liked it.

The timings a little off in some parts. The distorted guitar does not sound very full, but you may have done this on purpose, and the way you have it sounds alright. As far as the harshness of the cymbals, it didn't bother me, and I liked the amount of verb on the mix, I think it fits well with the song.
