fostex rd-8 a few questions.

i have two rd-8 adat machines which i have not used in quite a while i would like to know if i am doing things right.
first of all to get the time code i press data edit then gen-setup.
from here i choose

gen source:int
gen mode:rec-run
address set:abs
gen-ubits:ext-tc

and from the main menu i choosse.

tc rew/fwdn
mmc outputn
pleast let me know if i am doing things the right way.i am using logic audio as my sequencer and an emagic amt8 usb midi interface.also mmc does not seem to be working correctly.thanks alot for any help on this.
