sonar xl question

i have sonar xl and have just finished recording a song. i am using a delta 66 sound card with the omnistudio breakout box. it has effects sends in the breakout box and i am using a quadreverb for reverb.
now when i compress the song i just recorded to an MP3, it doesnt have the effects i used in the playback of the song.
can anyone tell me what im doing wrong here?

It sounds as if you are applying the Quadraverb to what you are monitoring but not to what is being recorded. An old studio trick to make singers like what they hear in their headphones better during recording, but obviously not what you are after here

I'm sorry but I do not have the OMNI i/o box so I'm not sure beyond that it's a signal routing issue. Look at the manual and try to follow the signal flow; draw a picture if it helps.

Maybe someone who has the OMNI box can chime in with precise details.
