OK, so here's what I did...

I drilled a hole in my bedroom closet through to my music room closet. (same wall, other side).
Purchased 25 foot long all-in-one monitor/keyboard/mouse cable.
Purchased 25 foot long sound card cable for my Delta 1010.
Purchased 30 foot long USB cable for my MidiMan MidiSport 4x4 Midi interface.
Placed my computer tower in the bedroom closet.
Connected all the cables and ran them though the hole into the music room to my monitor, keyboard, mouse, soundcard, and midi interface.
TADA! No more noise from my computer!
It's Great, so quiet I sometimes wonder if my computer is even on.

Here are the websites from which I ordered the cables:

For the soundcard cable:
http://www.cornerstonecables.com/128...25-M-F-1284-03

And for the rest:
http://www.networktechinc.com/cable-pc.html

If this is an alternative for you, I HIGHLY recommend it!

Now if I can just get that mouse to stop clicking...

Hmmmmm,

Good idea! I have a similar situation I ran a snake threw the wall but it would be nice to get the computer away from my board. The only real problem I have is when I record bass or guitar in the same room as the computer. I have to stay at least 4 feet from the computer and monitor to keep from having a hummmm.

Here is on for ya. To get a decent mix on my guitar I ran a long guitar chord threw the wall with my snake to the amp then I can monitor my own guitar playing in the mix room with out the amp in the background. I still go to the room with the amp to record so I get the sustain but for setting up the mic it works rather well.

Thanks for the links and info.

Do you get any hum off of the monitor by it's self or did moving the box take care of it all?

Man oh man...
I have a dual monitor setup, (2) ViewSonic G90F's on a Maxtor G450 DualHead video card.
Now that I don't hear my computer,
That's all I hear is the monitors humming along!
If I could just teach them to hum the chorus...

I think they hum regardless, sometimes when recording I will just turn them off and use my StudioMix controller to run Sonar.
That works really well.

All in all though, if my monitors didn't hum (can you say Flat Panel)
then I would just hear the mouse clicking, or the keyboard clicking, or that lunch I had at Taco Bell...it's always something.

It IS NICE to walk into the room and NOT HEAR the fans from the computer. Or the hard drives, or CD-rom drive.
I really do like it and would recomend it to any one who can do it.

There comes a point when you just have to understand that there is only so much you can do to make it "perfect" and just focus on the MUSIC!
I am so sick of thinking about this or that, I just want to Make Music.
That is what the whole thing is for, right?

The New Year is coming, and that is my resolution...
To STOP thinking about making music and to START making music.

This life won't last for ever.
Can't take it for granted anymore.
Tomorrow is not guaranteed.
Who knows what life has in store.

Keep on MKNMUSC,
A1MixMan

Sounds like a nice set up and job you did A1.
I basiclly did the same thing. My studio is in the basement and I just moved my box out in the old wine cabinet. It's ventelated and works well. I used the same cables as it was just the thickness of the wall away.
