I just finished a new recording. I'd really like to know what you all think of the quality. (although this is an MP3)
Be brutally honest, don't hold back, and let me know if you think it's marketable. This is a piano solo with some flute, string section, and french horn augmentation The link to this stream sounds some what "muted" for lack of a better word. So you can access the link, or D/L the file from my site. Here's the link to the stream: http://artists2.iuma.com/site-bin/streammp3.m3u?190193 and here's a link to the D/L: http://michaeljones.iuma.com The piece is callled "December's Mist"

hey, r u vexed from lack of reponse? well i did'nt hear the whole thing 'cause of congestion...
to be honest...it sucked. kidding. the composition seems fine. but your touch/timing is Slightly off. like mine. the other instuments come and go Much too abruptly. do u have cooledit or something similar? u should try the different echo/delay options. but from what i've heard of this kinda stuff (i'm more into dark/head music) on narada etc. you've certainly got potential/something to work with. |

Thanks Seth... I appreciate the response.
The other instruments were ment to augment, not orchestrate the piano, but, yeah, maybe they do come and go to quick. I'll work an that. Thanks again.

Hey man,
I like the way the other instruments kinda breath in and out of the song but agree with Setherial that they are brought in/out to abruptly and the song lacks a climax of any sort which may have been desired. Otherwise very nice, keep it up! Laj |

Thanks Laj.
Maybe using a fade in/fade out to control the abruptness of the various instruments?
