Hi,
I'm thinking about buying a Tech 21 Classic Sansamp for direct recording on my computer. I need to buy a direct box/preamp to convert my mic level stuff (mic, elec. guitar amp line out) to line level to get a useable signal into my computer. Does anyone know if the Sansamp will do this for me? |

The Tech 21 Classic Sansamp is an excellent guitar emulator for recording without a mic'ed amplifier. IMHO, much better than the POD. It is an excellent investment for the stated purpose. However, I can't comment on whether it can be used as a direct box without coloring your signal. It is not a preamp to be used with a mic.
